Centauro (GRUPO SBF) selects Mojix to achieve operational goals spanning 200 stores
Brazil‘s largest sporting goods retailer has modernized its operations and adopted the Mojix ytem™ SaaS solution for retail. The Mojix solution enables Centauro to achieve 99.9% inventory accuracy, improve supply chain efficiency, reduce safety stock and improve the omni-channel customer experience.
Los Angeles, February 11, 2021 – Mojix, a global leader in item-level intelligence solutions for Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Retail markets, has worked with Brazilian retailer Centauro to deploy a SaaS-based solution that enables, real-time, item-level visibility across the entire product lifecycle. The solution is a key asset to streamlining logistics and helping the retailer to consistently reach its operational goals, as well as strengthening Centauro’s customer-focused omni-channel strategy.
Centauro is a popular sporting goods retailer headquartered in São Paulo, Brazil with 8000 employees, a regional footprint of more than 211 retail stores and multiple distribution centers. On average, they manage the lifecycle of more than 40 million items per year across all aspects of their operations. With an initial objective to improve the reliability and visibility of their inventory and enhancing their omni-channel strategy, Centauro has successfully implemented a Mojix supply chain management solution based on RFID technology.
“Knowing what I have in stock and what I receive in the store, I control practically my entire supply chain,” said Sérgio Silva Jardim Filho, Growth Executive Manager at GRUPO SBF. “We no longer see ourselves as two channels: physical and digital. Omni-channel is already part of the Centauro culture. We are a single company and we want the customers to see that. The Mojix solution has been a key enabler to our omni-channel execution.”
Centauro implemented the retail SaaS solution, which is based on the innovative Mojix ytem™ platform architecture, featuring mobile cycle count, receiving, search & pick, and a wide range of other features and useful workflows. In addition, they are utilizing Mojix Retail Analytics as part of their overall solution.
Dan Doles, Mojix CEO added, “We are really honored to be part of Centauro’s long-term operational initiatives. They’re a world-class retailer that’s laser focused on leveraging best-in-class technology to expand their omni-channel capabilities and in-store customer experiences. Mojix is committed to helping them solve all of their supply chain challenges with our unique expertise, talented people and innovative products and solutions.”
Mojix item-level intelligence solutions are designed around the idea that any given product in a supply chain can be serialized with a unique digital identity. This provides a powerful foundation for enabling total product lifecycle visibility: track-and-trace from origin and manufacturing through to distribution centers, stores, and sometimes even after sale. Retailers will know where their items are, where they’re coming from, which business process they’ve been through, and where they’re supposed to go next. Each time an item’s status changes, Mojix collects that event data and streams it into the ytem™ platform and processes it along a unique lifecycle data model, allowing users to know, in real-time, the status and history of any item.
Mojix is a global leader in item-level intelligence solutions for Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Retail. Founded in 2004, the company has deep domain expertise in serialization technologies such as RFID, NFC, and print based marking systems.
